Layered

Lions in a partridge gait
Looming lepers sincere in their wait
Flinching Bossa nova’s jazzy quest
Innovation’s scrutiny under great duress

Pebbles under caves gone turn
Eden’s vision leveed prior to its burn
Gramophone’s pinning sultry plates
Dishes calming to drones irate

Indigenous
Born with guilt & grief
Undisputable
Our passive voices wilt & leaf
Definable
By each choice, whether long or brief

Garden to gulley
Grove to stream
It’s not the answers to the questions
But the effort to try
                  That makes beliefs layered deep

  1. Those last three lines were wonderful, especailly "but the effort to try" As that is all one needs sometimes.

Loved "looming lepers" too, for whole different reason as it reminded me of a Monk episode..haha
