Dark
Morsels-out of reach-
The child
Enamored
By shiny things
The brat who would not share
The tempest that would soon ensue
The forgiveness
That shall take
All of a minute
Or spanning several years

In-hiding from scary thoughts and scarier sights
Very true, fear can make use shove our heads in the sand or dig down deep and hide. Have to finally saw screw it even you ever want out though.
