A Blurring Haze

Cuckolds and Quivers
Bowed and shorn
Infinitesimally small, are the shards
Apocalyptic promenades adrift in mingled space
Seen in Shiraz, eyes & face

Vanity and the undoing of
Sauntered golems, amassing scape
As broken hearts fear disgrace

Mirrored monologues & lounge-chair guesswork
Cosmetic dwells in capes of grey
Cringe the trigger fore the lance
Lest the Shangri-La awaken by chance
Proffering a return to an amoebic state

Cuckolds and quivers
In battle scars and memory
Reclaim what once was

Yet conjoined are amnesia tics in question form
Reminding you what won’t go forward
