Confectioneer

Angular deception
Slight change
Subtle strain
Peculiar as the hologram
Shifting shape & Fading shade

Flittering connection
Virtue vexed
From polygonal to provisional
A dedication drowned
In bitter tapenade
Across the gilded grey

From an orbital illusion
Visions cede & fray by
Sorceries intrusive
Glancing frost-side
While invasions dray
The silt too soon

In confections, the imaginary comes to be
In compulsion, desire fosters dream

  2. "Peculiar as the hologram" that line really stuck with me, just fit with my little side project at the moment and stuck out. It's fun the illusions we can come up with too, unless we buy them ourselves, then may not be so good..haha

  3. This led me very conflicting directions. It brought on images of circular prisms with vivid colors that were shifting back and forth from a polygonal set to a spherical float. Very creative. Sparked quite unbalanced thoughts over here. Wonderful effect...I love it...Powerful.

  5. Thanks to all for stopping by. Really appreciate that you all enjoy the piece. Just a short little piece I threw together, wasn't really sure where I was going with it when I started out, but whipped up a couple more stanzas and the title, which isn't rare or commonplace, came after the poem was complete. Thanks again for the visits
