Outtake From the Block Files (Masquerader)

Didn't really have the time to write poetry today, so I'll revisit the Outtakes once again.

Masquerade
Illusions

Conquistadors
Of the metaphysical
Vouch for thee

Macabre
Daughters
Of the dancing appellation
Courting
Tomorrow’s rapture

Cloaked vixens
Feverishly pick
Cherrie-blossoms
Along the banks
Of frigid cricks

Removal of the veil
Reveals Neighbors that you know—
Yet never again will see the same

  1. The imagery in these outtakes is consistently stunning and arrives in surprising combinations. Great work again.

  2. The outtakes seem to have a theme, things seem to be just out of reach or gone to the beach. As you keep wishing yet your muse remains fishing. Now you brain is masquerading about, with this outtake shout. Such fun mixture of words, your muse hasn't fully flown south with the birds...haha

  4. This one is interesting. A party of people wearing masks, an image of exploring little revelations leading to change of how one sees familiar. Examining the cracks -- the little bits. Perhaps I shall go pry on something that I've previously dismissed.
