Crumple
down,
Crumple
down my darling
Crumple
down,
Crumple
down for me my dear
In
single beat
The
words grow numb
So
long, goodbye,
Cheerio,
bye-bye
A
sash of lament
A
veil of contempt
Mixing,
stirring,
Tears
of blurring
Crumple
down,
Crumple
down my darling
Crumple
down,
Crumple
down for me my dear
In
solemnity, a smile faux,
Arrivederci,
adios, ciao
So
long, conge,
Farewell,
adieu
Crumple
down,
Crumple
down my darling
Crumple
down,
Crumple
down for me my dear
Update: 4/28/12 Attaching a recording for this song. Probably butchering it and all, but now that I've figured out how to post audio tracks, I just kind of had to, as I find singing to be so much fun
hmmm my mind went to the gutter after the third crumple down, was that the right place to be?..haha....liked the tone and just overall playfulness of this verse, really flowed out.
ReplyDeleteI replied to your reply :) I'd really like to read Foucalt's Death and the Labyrinth on literature and especially The Order of Things. Jurgen Habermas calling him a 'crypto-normativist' I have to say really piqued my curiosity. I'm taking pictures of the studio this evening for the next behind the curtain at Chromapoesy. Also, though I signed up to receive your blog it doesn't send me an e-mail when you post. Any ideas?
ReplyDeletePat, the mind being in the gutter is always the right place to be, well much of the time anyhow:) Thanks, glad you enjoyed this piece. One of the last of my outtakes remaining. Luckily I feel the time away from the daily writing has had a positive effect, as really the scorpion piece is the only really new I've written in over a week, so hopefully I'll have something fresh and new for OLN tomorrow. Thanks again
ReplyDeleteAnna, thanks:) I've read parts, as I find the case with me an most philosophical or psychological work, I normally read pieces and then fill the rest in at a later date. Oh, yeah Google hates me. That has to be the answer. Pat can tell you. My poetry gets stuck on a certain poem, then one day, probably, if anything like the last time, months later you'll wind up getting a flood of all the posts they never updated you with as I was posting them. Then things will be fine for a week or so and they'll pull this baloney on me again. I've wrote them numerous times but nothing happens, no replies nothing. It's kind of funny, Pat wrote a piece basically blasting google and he mentioned my issues either in the piece or perhaps I brought it up again in the comments, can't remember for sure, but then the next day the flood of posts were sent out and I was current for about 6 days- most likely a coincidence but funny nevertheless. But just so you know, I typically post a new poem everyday, somedays two or three-but I've prided myself to post at least once a day, only missing the mark this past week, where I had a major league invisible day-lol Thanks again, I look forward to getting a peak behind the curtain:)
