Anthema

Ivied visions trespass
Upon the venial
Dispositions
Held beneath

The melody finds me
And repeats
Again and again
Yet never
Grows
Stale

Florets and anthers
Overtake the venal
Growth
Of vines
Connecting through

That song, this canticle
Years since first stir,
Continues its Anthema
Still

Stale... i like when a melody finds me...used to write songs for the church when i was a worship leader and love improvising on my alto sax, finding new riffs and melodies or just sit at the piano and let it flow..it's not that it's really good but it's me..part of my song to the world..like your poem here is a part of your song to the world..much enjoyed this fred

  4. Always great how music can overtake. Also fun that you might not hear a song for years and then once it's heard brings back all kinds of memories.
