He
had a pension for collecting
objects,
items,
things and toys
covert
or frank,
it didn't matter,
he saw them each the same
Memories
became
objects
forever
on display
Mementos to dust and
shine
ever adored
in the archives of
his mind
Ahhh... I'm glad he enjoys collecting, even if it's only in his mind :)
ReplyDeleteCollecting as we both know can be a fickle thing, there is a point where too much is too much I suppose. But still some collecting is good, gives us something to do at least..haha
ReplyDeleteI'm a collector...and the worst thing about it is the dusting. haha. At least with memories you don't have to do that. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm reminded of those folks featured on hoarders, and my uncle, who keeps stacks of old magazines and has a large collection of clay figurines. There's a story behind those things, keeping them is keeping memory, keeping precious memories close i guess.
