Blind Embers Of Motivation

(S)Categorically frenetic
     Suffocating on the brine
Bloated by the expectations of lunacy
The moon, its vapors
Unveiling premonitions
Ravaging the waking hours
With the addictions set in dream

Clarity is boring,
Facetious knowledge thrusts forward
As if the audience is nothing but a mass of ignorance
Collected in awe of your deepest recollections

The truth of emeritus is the dagger of gold in search of silver
Vanity, a distraction to unparalleled degree
Ask and you’ll be known as he who is without
Stare in silence and the curiosity will devour                                       you from the inside out.
Striations aligned
Subluxation pared
We are there and here
We alone create our own definitions of fear

Stutter-Steps

Flakes of cold meander about,
Floating calmly through the air,
Strange to see snow in this desert fare,
So peaceful, even as it dwindles south,
Not concerned with the ground below
Refreshing to see, the beauty of the melting snow,

People stop and people stare,
So much to take in, so much to be found,
When definitions are turned upside down,
The pacing slows, depressions pare,
Life is full of unexpected pauses,
No such thing, I have learned, as lost causes,

For some a new start,
A second chance can be seen,
Awake and open to deeper meaning,
The unexplainable seems to touch the heart,
Out of oddity and within irregularity,
Life is filled with countless possibility

Absolutely Non-Absolute

Curveballs are life’s way of showing us
That we may be intelligent,
Yet in the grand schematics we don’t know much,

We live in absolutes, with directions built on preconception,
Steeped in definitions we’ve created
Judgments born through speculation
Producing labels on false interpretation,

We may think we have the answers
But the answers we may have
Are conditional to the question
That has come before,

That which stands before us,
In this moment,
 May have similarities with,
Previous experience and learned notion,
However, this moment is this moment and nothing more,
There are no absolutes or predispositions,
None which correctly configure to every situation,
All there is, all there ever will be, is the here and now,
Alive and living, a unique embodiment,
With an ever changing definition
