Little game, pretty simple really.  See how quickly you can figure it out.  There are some simple clues/giveaways within. The only clue I'll provide:  If you find yourself stumped for any reason, sometimes it's best to remove your eyes from the individual and to assess the problem as a whole.

The Ghosts of Past Lives

Like footfalls and hammocks
And snails and cured salmon,
The hoof, then the roe flits undertow,
To the peen of the hammer’s red, red ends

Old gypsum and christening
The newest glad tiding to
Bestow, ill-flavored pathways
Marked by delicately placate hues

Fairy dust and prawn shells
And magicians in stairwells,
That knew the words,
Yet to stain the cellar’s dwelt

Chamois and lilies
So softly knitted, giddily we
Sip, upon cola and sloe gin, fizziest
When beside tall grass and silted sand
Where a tomorrow’s yet been dealt
And a future’s yet to dry
A presence can be present, even for the ghosts of our past lives

Number of the Beast (Heart/Spirit/Art)

It's another Tuesday, and we all know what that means?  Yep, it's Open Link Night over at  D'Verse, stop on by for some amazing  artistry by all the great poets that submit their work.  And while you're there, share  one of your own.  It's a great time for anyone who likes to write or read poetry.

Moonstones rubbed for inspiration
Platonic solids textures make
As ideation coincides
With the golden section of                               your mind

Soul

One

Three

Silence escapes a nervous void
With a mesmerizing tonal gaze,
Each vowel bends in me,
An enshrinement of consonancy

Before the hallowed harp doth play
I’m hearing sounds of primacy,
Voicing visions debasing me, of all I believed I knew.
It’s as if she’d been granted a gifted tongue—
To speak the words of Malachim
Four
Five
Six

Shifting shapes of angles blend to form
As matter, elements and bodies mix

As conversation eclipses time
Mudras vast beset my eyes

As winter nears
For the first in many years
It does appear
That Demeter, before her trip
Made preparations for
Nourishment
7, 8, 9
The universe and its qualities,
The constituents of the world

Knowing what I do know now
The Decad is the first number to need a second part
Ten.  Fingers-Thumbs.
…and so spins the wheel
When you’re near
I feel the meaning of
All the gifts of touch

 Tetraktys
With love.

Harts, Phonographs and Shorthand

BEGIN RHYME:
As ink lay freshest, it overtly shawls the drag:
         Mental ambiguity, of salted sine
         Burgeon whisp-(ring)
         Internal
         Painting non-descript
         Painted sound
         En route to heart
         Blessed by hand

A Hart, in a wooded field of straw-lined structure, ravaged from a careless sleeper, softening the bark, distracting the weed.  Scared,
Directionless…

Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So-La-Ti-Do

An alembic of blinking utopia, blanketed in swain, affixes sleeves, in adjectival fashionable phonography.

         Relaxing the spine. Seconds
         Longer than the first
         Enjoying freedom
         Forever how long it hurts.
  END RHYME.
