Found From Within The Talon's Side

A flagrant volition—a violation, an action and a scowl—determined aggravation from the tongue of pawn—intrigued by the rapturous ideology presented in the late—by an allegorical phantasm of chance, an echoic beauty—one whom not even time could prevent the inviting allegation to conceive it’s concocted arrhythmia to the weather-worn hopes of one as he—

Held in awe, by a desperate princess, bearing fruitful presents and an unholy proclamation of some love-stricken scheme that preyed endearingly, to every impossible shard of dream ever awoken from—

Encased was a promise, a scented sentence if detected, for this vow, was considerable in all it stood for to the two at hand, yet dynamically catastrophic by those in opposition.  This love, between two such as these, was in fact, in direct disobedience of the caste each were forced to lead their lives upon.

Sufferance would indeed be remarked. Damnation would, in all effect, be set in spades, even as twin bounties corrugate between the sky and all the Heavens it protects, and the reams of suet still freshly stifled, as the heart’s contents remained—where still set the bone, strangling upon the saltiest of teardrops ever wrung.

Vitality was denied through end of breath. Parturient strands unabashed by the chaotic consequence at bay—unintended for, yet persisting nonetheless, were its strides—a collateral
Striation, bound by sinew’s string, looping through the bitter entanglements of the amnesia stricken torso to which the factions fortuitously release, divide—segregating lower lip, pierced by steel and ember and the upper manifestations—the mutations estranged by first sin’s blaspheming kiss.

Protracted involvement. Sacrilege upon the altar of the
Withered. Flesh of songbird, broken wing—yet clung it had, dearly, paying ultimate price to perform it’s duty, clinging tightly with pride, onto the message placed within its’ talon’s
Side.

Tuesday is once again upon us, and that, of course, brings about the greatest night of poetry around.  Open Link Night is a world-wide phenomenon, where lover's of poetry get to read, listen to, write and share poetry of all type.  Make sure you stop by D'Verse starting today at 3pm.  Cheers!

Storm-Vein

The sap from the trees—everywhere this morning—the midnight storm did a number—Governor is calling for a state of emergency.

“…What about the vagrants? (Why in God’s good name, are those panhandlers positioning themselves at the forefront of my mind, infiltrating my most personal of personal thoughts)”

“got no idea’r dare, couldn’t care less neither, surprise you be askin’”

         “Yeah, me too”

Scattered everywhere—punctured tires from branches—prematurely broken from their mother’s veins.

“This debris’ all o’er the place, we ain’t doin’ shit today, lets see if we can’t make it to Downunder for a cupla cole ones—God, sure hope’s still dare—hope damage din’t make It that nort”
(in a daze, mesmerized by how a simple storm can alter both the familiar and one's ability to perceive abstractly), “yeah…

...sure hope not”

Head on over to D'Verse, where Open Link Night is in full swing.

The Crux of the Hex (A Lullaby of Pain)

A delicate estrangement—an insurrection of high stakes—
The costs beset the murmured voice—jostling for dismay— Panic stills the arches, belittling what’s been frayed

There’s fervor in the accolades and damage in the cup—Tarnishing the wind chimes, deconstructing all that’s loved—
Skewing the firmament in all things corrupt

As addled insteps disable, a forgotten seam is stitched—Contaminating the structures, envisioning the touch—The howl of the banshee—stretching the crux of this hex

Tainted rains stir deceptive—with emotion, syllogisms grow— Windswept and staining, the compositions first possess the truth—eagerly diluting trust, turning friends to foes

Duplicity covets eyestrain, through disjointed combinations—
Furtive glances whisper—each syllable eclipses stillness while dancing in the half-life—abusing the elements of sedation

And as moisture fondles, each symbol demystifies—the salve and the possession—the cymbal and the crutch—caressing the suffocation softly—as do the lullabies of pain

For Open Link Night at D'Verse.  Stop on by and consume some of the best poetry in the world.

5th and 43rd

Exsanguination in the darkest of alleyways, where only a flickering sputter of light permeates the afterthoughts of rats and those who've long since distanced themselves from the at-large biddings of incorporated vampires and conglomerated succubi.

The temptation to scream is ever prevalent.  Yet inactivity has rendered you mute.  Dissociation has severed your linguistic abilities clean and deep. You sit in the corners and alcoves.  You've done it for so long you remember no other way, you are invisible to the passers by and even when noticed, there isn't much left of who you once were. It's hard to fathom that this is the same person we all once knew so well. And to see you here, in such a state, I have to wonder what could've gone so terribly wrong to pen your conclusion in such a way.

and I can't help but think,
that penicillin is everywhere.

Found dead on 5th and 43rd.  A situation that easily should've been avoided.

Swing on over to D'verse for Open Link Night. THE place to share your own poetry and enjoy all those shared by the terrific poets in this outstanding poetic community.

Nine Rasas

Love and lust,
one the same,
Sringara

Cauldron’s boil,
Temper’s spill
Ravdra

Mourning with
Compassionate arms
Karuna

Dark passages persist
Monsters linger depths unknown
Bhayanaka

Vile tumult’s rise within
Nausea paint’s a grimace flush to skin
Bibhasta

Vigor tango’s vis-à-vis,
As heroes call deafens doubt
Vira

Laughter wells eyes in joy
While ridicule enlists the salt therein
Hasya

A first skyline exposed
To an unsuspecting glance
Adbhuta

Halcyon, charming wind and wave
Spreads calm unto horizons far
Santa

Spatiality gathers sheaf’s abundant.
Place procures fields for harvest’s green
Rasa awakens

A centrality of energy
Engages physicality’s line
Sushumna, gravity breathes

Shape-shifting altruisms bend perception taut
Aligning eternal stage, set for actor and audience alike
Herein resides the locus of Rasa

Unlocking sensorial rhythm’s
Brandishing pleasures unbeknownst to hue

Permanence abides the spindle’s truth
Weaving abhinaya

Emotions are evoked,
Accessed, then tasted true

Rasa’s essence aspires unto
Boundaries shared in man

Even breath alone can balance
The humors of flesh

Cloth of table spans word and sight
Preparing for presentations feast

It is known Sthayi bhavas
Will appear once taste’s expression
Overflows; generating
enactment of the nine

I hope everyone had a great New Years and will carry that greatness throughout the upcoming year and beyond.  With each new year that comes, new hope spins it's web, and sorrow hopefully remains in the past.  Poetry is a way that man can grasp hold of emotion and paint it into a tapestry to wear the entirety of the upcoming year and beyond. So, how perfect is it that 2013 opens up on a Tuesday.  Tuesdays and poetry have become synonymous and lets all go celebrate our poetry together over at D'Verse, where Open Link Night, fittingly kicks off the New Year right.

The Hornet

To my favorite fading hornet,
I know not if you ever shall
Be in true receipt of this message
I am breathing out into the ethos now

To my fading favorite hornet, I
Wonder if you’ve lived your last of days to come
To the fullest that can be done.  I imagine your choosing
Not to sting, ruffled both friend
And kin alike.

To the hornet fading, you frightened
Me at first, as you dawdled about my
Garden green.  The small sphere you
Occupied seemed to grow it’s dimensions
Out.  Seeing you, preoccupied, with whatever
Your intent there was, altered the chemistry
Of my being.

Blood runs hot yet fear heats further and to
Calm, the body alters by influx, fusing in the
Coldest paralysis man could ever know.
You circled about me, mingled with my hair, peering
Into cavities exposed and I felt the ice chipping quickly
As I realized you were not at all like your cousins, the one’s
I met buzzing by the weeds when I was yet more than a little old.

To my favorite fading hornet,
Sting me now, so you at least
Could depart knowing exactly
How it felt to oblige the nature you
Never chose

To my fading favorite hornet,
You’ve more then proved yourself
A friend, spending time with me,
Despite the incoherency, I believe
You understood me, as I, believe I
Can also say, I understand both the pleasure
And the peril, of your today, tomorrow and yesterday

therefore, please, please
allow me to extend my arm to you,
for I can think of no coda fitting, aptly
more, than to forever bear the scar of your
charm

Well, fell asleep for a day and a half, well, not really, but I definitely was unable to hop online yesterday. Luckily for me though, the D'verse Open Link Night party is still raging on with the fullest of forces and there is so much fun to explore and see, so how bout following me over there.
