Tenets Entombed

Sacred cows of Idol’s gold
Enslaved a people’s tide enrapt
Sparse seas amidst arid dry’s
Splits succumb to tenets denied

A mix, a flow, a blend of blood
A tryst, a glow, a shed of salt
A rinse, in tow, a defense of fear

Beliefs deflect tablets aside
A factions face denies belief
That some words written first
Have lost hold to the thirsts of men

Neath the crypts- scarabs run
Abandoning their bandages
Wrapped to flesh aligned to bone
Jars of promise lay beside
Those possessions most important to
The astral dreams foretell the awakening
Where lies once told are put to rest
This before they’re spoke again

Cycle of Acquistion

The day of reanimation,
A sudden reincarnating
Of the living with the dead,

Of hollowed tombs of flesh and bone
Refilled with souls from other men,

Empty slates that are wiped clean,
Perfect specimen to pour your clay,

Fit the scheme and wish the well,
You’re not worried where you’ll be, eventually,

One day you feel you’ll circle back,
To the place you once loved much

And reside within your lovers clutch,
But until such day does dawn itself,

Fear is not fear at all,
Nothing’s scary to someone who’s beat the devil at his own trade,

Nothing’s wicked when you’ve died and rose from hell.
